My XV Tuner cable isn't detected by the software
First, check that the FTDI drivers are installed. On Windows 10/11, they usually install automatically. If not, download them from ftdichip.com. Try a different USB port — front panel USB ports on desktops can be unreliable. Make sure the cable is firmly seated in both the USB and ECU connectors.
The software shows "Communication Error" when connecting to the ECU
Turn the ignition on (engine off). Check that the cable is fully inserted into the ECU diagnostic port. Verify you're using the correct COM port in the software settings. If your battery is low, the ECU may not respond — try with a battery charger connected.
Which map should I use for my bike?
Maps are organized by model and exhaust setup in the included map library. Start with the map that matches your exhaust brand (Akrapovic, Arrow, Silmotor, etc.). If you have a stock exhaust, use the "stock" map variant. For custom setups, start with the closest match and adjust fuel offset as needed.
Can I brick my ECU?
It's possible if the cable is disconnected during a write operation or if the battery dies mid-flash. Always ensure a full battery charge, use a stable USB connection, and never interrupt a write. If your ECU does get bricked, our ECU Flash Service can usually recover it.
How do I calibrate TPS?
Connect the cable, open XV Tuner software, and go to the TPS calibration screen. With the throttle fully closed, set the minimum value. With the throttle wide open, set the maximum value. Save to ECU. The user guide included with your cable has step-by-step instructions with screenshots.
Do you ship to my country?
Yes — we ship worldwide with tracking. Europe: 1–2 weeks. North America: 2–3 weeks. Rest of world: up to 3 weeks. Customs duties and import taxes are the buyer's responsibility.
What's your warranty policy?
All XV Tuner cables come with a 12-month limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. This does not cover damage from misuse, accidents, or modifications. If your cable is defective, email us and we'll replace it.
